The training aimed to present European and Spanish regulations on integrating sex/gender analysis into research projects and convey the stance of European scientific publishers on this matter to attendees. Throughout the course, the main gender biases in research were described, as well as different strategies to overcome them and guidelines for implementing protocols for integrating sex/gender analysis at each phase of the research process.
The activity, targeted to researchers from the CIGUS Network centers, lasted a total of 14 hours. It was conducted in a hybrid format (in-person on September 11th and 12th, 2023, and via live-online on September 14th). As part of the training, a practical exercise was included in which each participant selected their own research project to review and applied the knowledge acquired during the course.
