The objective of this training activity was to provide a comprehensive overview of the María de Maeztu programme, combining an analysis of its origin and characteristics with a review of the evaluation criteria based on international standards. It also addressed the path that a unit must follow from defining its objective to obtaining the accreditation, where applicable.
In addition, the key benefits associated with this distinction were discussed, including access to competitive funding, institutional recognition, and the attraction of research talent fundamental elements for strengthening the international projection of research centres.
This activity was aimed at management and administrative staff of the CIGUS Network centres. It was held in person on March 20, lasted 2.5 hours, and was delivered by Cristina Espa, Head of the programmes under the Dynamization, Strengthening and Excellence axis of the Subdivision of Cross‑cutting, Strengthening and Excellence Programmes at the Spanish State Research Agency.
