Call for applications for the CiTIUS Summer Grants 2026

The Research Centre on Intelligent Technologies (CiTIUS) part of the CIGUS Network, an initiative promoted by the Xunta de Galicia that brings together the centers of the Galician research system that have demonstrated their scientific excellence

 announces the annual call for its Summer Grants, offering 15 grants aimed at undergraduate students interested in undertaking their first research experience in the field of Intelligent Technologies (IT).

These grants are designed to support training stays during the month of July, during which selected candidates will have the opportunity to get acquainted with and gain insight into the research lines of the centre’s different Scientific Areas.

The areas of work include, among others, Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence, Language Technologies, Machine Learning and Reasoning, Robotics, High-Performance Computing, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Computer Vision, Data Science and Engineering, and Electronic Design of Intelligent Devices. In addition, during the fellowship period, students will be able to take part in CiTIUS training activities, which include specialized courses, lectures delivered by leading international researchers, and presentations of cutting-edge tools in the field of IT.

Each fellowship provides a gross stipend of €850, with additional support for non-resident students in Santiago de Compostela to cover travel expenses: up to €300 for students from outside Galicia and up to €80 for students from other municipalities within the region.

The application deadline is Monday, May 18, at 23:59 (CEST).
