COOKIES POLICY
The purpose of this cookie policy is to provide you with clear and precise information about the cookies used on the CIGUS Network website.
What are cookies?
Cookies are a type of data storage and retrieval device stored on users’ terminal equipment for the purpose of storing information or retrieving information that has already been stored, pursuant to article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on information society services and electronic commerce.
Types of cookies
Cookies can be classified into three types:
1. Depending on the entity managing the domain from which the cookies are sent, and the data obtained are processed, we can differentiate between own cookies and third-party cookies.
2. Depending on their purpose, cookies can be divided into four types: technical cookies, preference cookies, measurement cookies and behavioural advertising cookies.
3. Depending on the time they remain activated, cookies can be divided into session cookies or persistent cookies.
For more information about cookie types, you may consult the guidelines on the use of cookies published by the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
Cookies used on the website
Below are details of the cookies used on this portal, as well as their type and function:
The CIGUS Network website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service developed by Google, capable of tracking and analysing website traffic. You will be able to see the cookies that provide this service on your browser. Based on the classification above, they are own cookies, session cookies and analysis cookies.
Web analytics provides information about the number of users accessing the website, the number of pages viewed, the frequency and repetition of visits, their duration, the browser used, the operator providing the service, the language, the terminal used and the city to which your IP address is assigned. This information enables the portal to provide a better and more tailored service.
To guarantee anonymity, Google will make your data anonymous by truncating the IP address prior to storage. This means that Google Analytics will not be used to locate or collect personally identifiable information about visitors to the site. Google may only pass on the data collected by Google Analytics to third parties when it is legally obliged to do so. Pursuant to the Google Analytics terms and conditions of service, Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
Another type of cookie that is downloaded is a technical cookie known as JSESSIONID. This cookie stores a unique ID per session that allows data necessary for the browsing in progress to be linked.
Finally, cookies known as show cookies are also downloaded. These are own, technical and session cookies. They manage users’ consent for the use of cookies on the website in order to remember those users that have allowed them and those that have not, so that the former are not shown information regarding this at the top of the page.
Acceptance of the cookies policy
By clicking on the “Accept” button you are giving your specific consent to the use of cookies. Please remember that if you accept cookies from a third party, they must be deleted via the browser options or from the system provided by the aforementioned third party.
