The Galician Enterprise-University Foundation, hereinafter FEUGA, holder of Spanish Tax ID No. G 15051667 and listed under entry 155 on the Register of Foundations of Galician Interest, offers online users free access to the TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM at www.cigus.gal. However, certain contents and services included on the TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM will only be available following prior registration and/or payment of the charge which may apply, in accordance with their specific terms and conditions. Access and/or use of the TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM is completely voluntary and confers the status of USER on those persons that do so. Accessing the platform implies that all USERS accept, without reservation, the contents of these “General Terms and Conditions”, and, where applicable, the “Specific Terms and Conditions” that may complement, replace or modify the former in any sense regarding the services and contents included on the TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM. USERS must therefore read both sets of terms and conditions carefully before accessing and using any of the TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM services, which shall be under their sole responsibility. In all cases, FEUGA reserves the right to refuse access to the site at any time and with no prior notice to those users that fail to comply with any of the general or specific terms and conditions applicable. TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM users shall not use the service to pass on anything that may attack the values and dignity of individuals, in accordance with national and international regulations for the protection of human rights.

TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM users undertake to provide truthful and accurate personal data on the registration form.

Furthermore, it is strictly forbidden to reproduce, distribute, transmit, adapt or modify in any medium and in any manner the contents of the TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM website (texts, designs, graphics, information, databases, sound and/or image files, logos, etc.), as well as all other elements included on the website, without the prior authorisation of its lawful owners or when so permitted by law.

It is also forbidden to make any use of the contents listed above for commercial or advertising purposes other than those specifically permitted, where applicable, or to breach any rights arising therefrom.

USERS shall hold sole responsibility for their use of this website and their full compliance with these GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS. User registration

FEUGA reserves some of the services offered via the TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM for registered USERS that have filled in the forms available on the website. Notwithstanding the above, FEUGA also offers USERS certain services whose usage requires additional registration processes.

FEUGA shall process the personal data provided automatically for the purposes defined and under the terms and conditions of its Privacy Policy, details of which are included in this Legal Notice.

Exclusion of warranties and liability

In no case and under no circumstances does FEUGA guarantee or accept liability for the following events and contents, or for any damages that may arise as a result thereof:

  • Lack of availability, continuity, access, maintenance and effective functioning of the website and/or its services and updates, accuracy, completeness, pertinence, timeliness and reliability of the contents thereof for any reason whatsoever, and the technical or other difficulties or problems giving rise to the aforementioned incidents.
  • The transmission and/or existence of viruses, other elements or software that may damage users’ hardware and that may affect them as a result of accessing, using or browsing the website, or that cause alterations to their electronic documents or files.
  • Illicit, negligent or fraudulent use by USERS, impersonating a third party or that is detrimental to the contents of these general terms and conditions, good faith, generally accepted usage or public order, the website and its services and contents.
  • Defects or faults in the contents and/or services accessed via the TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM.
  • The reception, storage, procurement, dissemination or transmission by USERS of TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM contents.
  • The knowledge of any information held or used by unauthorised third parties regarding the characteristics and circumstances of use of the TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM’s contents and services by USERS.
  • Non-compliance by third parties of their obligations arising or resulting from the services provided to USERS via the TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM, as well as poor quality, lack of reliability and appropriateness of the offer, lawfulness, utility and availability of the services provided by third parties and made available to USERS on this website.

In all events, FEUGA, ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND THAT MAY RESULT EITHER DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY THEREFROM OR ANY OTHER OF SIMILAR CHARACTERISTICS THAT IS NOT SPECIFIED HEREIN.

Intellectual and industrial property rights

The texts, designs, images, databases, logos, structure, trademarks and all other elements included on this website are protected by international intellectual and industrial property laws and treaties. The total or partial reproduction, transmission, adaptation, translation, modification, public communication or any other form of exploitation of the website contents in any manner or using any electronic, mechanical or other means are strictly forbidden without FEUGA’s prior written authorisation. Any infringement of these rights may lead to extrajudicial or civil or criminal legal actions that may apply.

FEUGA shall not grant any licences or authorisation for any form of use of its intellectual and industrial property rights or any other property or right related to the TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM, its services or contents.

Applicable legislation and jurisdiction

These general terms and conditions shall be governed by Spanish law.

All questions or actions that may arise as a result of the provision of the TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM, its services and contents, or regarding the interpretation, application, compliance or non-compliance with the contents herein, FEUGA and USERS hereby agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of Santiago de Compostela, expressly waiving all other jurisdictions they may be entitled to.
